Microsoft may start the delivery of its new operation system Windows 7 already in September 2009, not in the beginning of 2010, as it was previously announced.
Microsoft decided to hurry up with the new release in an attempt to boost the sales of computer hardware against the background of the global recession. The earlier release also demonstrates the intention of the corporation to make many Windows XP users finally switch to a new OS bypassing Windows Vista.
Windows 7 proves to be more powerful than Windows Vista. The reviews of the new system have been generally positive so far. Windows 7 will be available in six different versions. There will be two basic versions of the new system - Windows 7 Home Premium and Windows 7 Professional. The versions will target home and business users globally, spokespeople for Microsoft said.
Windows 7 Home Basic is designed for those people who do not require much from their PCs. Starter Edition will reportedly be available in developing countries only. Enterprise and Ultimate versions will come complete with various applications.

Fortunetelling has always been an inseparable part of the history of mankind. People always wanted to look in their own future and unravel the mystery of the human character. Fortune-tellers use a variety of things for their activities: cards, dice, coins, wax, salt and many other tools.
Sternomancy is a divination practice which involves the reading of markings on the area of the human body from the breast to the belly. This way of fortunetelling can be used to unveil the character of a woman by reading the shape of her breasts. Sternomancy was used in fortunetelling in the 18th century in Spain. Nowadays, sexologists say that the bosom of a woman identifies her character even more than Zodiac signs do.
People usually compare the shape of women’s breasts with fruit, berries and even vegetables.
Cherry. Women with small breasts that look like cherries are distinctive for their sociable character. They are reasonable and easy-going. Such women can be very good and reliable partners in everyday life, although they do not lay special emphasis on physical intimacy.

A group of scientists from many countries of the world currently works on one of the largest international projects in modern-day science. The goal of the project is to extend the period of human youth.
The biochemical laboratory of Russia’s Southern Federal University joined the project during the test period to find out how the elixir of youth affects the DNA of lab animals.
Vladimir Chistyakov, the senior scientist of the lab, said that academician Skulachev dissipated the energy of a living organism on the molecular level during the 1970s.
“Living cells have their own power plants, which produce by-products in addition to energy. The speed of aging largely depends on those toxic substances. Skulachev created nanoconstructions which penetrated into mitochondrions – the energy-making part of the cell – and destroyed toxic substances. It was some sort of a nanorobot, which was tested on lab rats. It turned out that the DNA of the rodents, which fed on Skulachev’s ions, had a slower destruction process

The Holy Fire, the miracle which occurs each Easter in the Church of the Holy Sepulchre , has been drawing attention of many scientists for a long time. They try to solve its secret to explain the incredible phenomenon from the rational point of view.
The secret measurements which were conducted by Russian physicist Andrey Volkov at Easter ceremony last year can throw light on this riddle.
"The device fixing a spectrum of electromagnetic radiation detected a strange long-wave impulse in the temple. This impulse has not been detected since then any more. There was some kind of electrical discharge. It is not known whether the lightning struck, or whether there were some technical problems with the equipment of a TV crew on the scene,” - Volkov describes his experiment.

Sex in advertising? Women aren't buying it, for the most part.
In fact, past research has shown that the average woman responds negatively to ads with explicit or gratuitous sexual content. But now, it also looks like women are less offended by these ads if sexual imagery is viewed in the context of a committed relationship.
The study, published this month in Journal of Consumer Research, finds that women respond more favorably to sexual ads when the item in the ad is described as a gift from a man to a woman. In addition, women have high positive responses to sexual ads that depict a committed and loving man — but not for those depicting a committed and loving woman.
The reason, according to the researchers: sexual economics theory, which states that women have more at risk than men when deciding to have sex. Therefore, women have more sexual negotiating power and can hold out until their conditions — both financial and emotional — are met.
The financial condition was explored in the first part of the study. Researchers showed participants two versions of a wristwatch ad that was kind of sexy; in the second version, a red ribbon was tied around the watch, and the following sentence was included: "This watch is positioned as a gift from a man to the special woman in his life." (As a control, participants also viewed non-sexual ads with the same imagery and messaging.)
